Workshop Description

Take your leadership and management talents to the next level with a preparatory workshop for AAPACN’s Director of Nursing Services—Certified (DNS-CT®) certification. Earning this credential validates your expertise, gives you the advantage among your peers, and helps you improve quality, communication, and resident care throughout your facility.

The DNS-CT credential from AAPACN shows that you have the leadership and management skills and knowledge to excel as a DON. Certification indicates that you have met nationally recognized standards of expertise for directors of nursing services in long-term care, that you are up-to-date with the rules and regulations, and that you can lead and nurture your team.

COURSE COMPLETION
Your workshop registration includes access to the 10 DNS-CT certification exams. To earn the credential, you must be an RN and pass the final exams with a score of 80% or higher. You will have one year from the date of the workshop before your exams expire.

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT
American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN) is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

CONTINUING EDUCATION HOURS
The DNS-CT certification workshop is approved for 22.5 CEs.

AAPACN Members:                $794 per person
Non-AAPACN Members:        $1000 per person
Membership + Workshop:     $957 per person

CANCELLATION POLICY
AAPACN and the Training Partner are not responsible for any fees incurred due to cancellations or postponements. Attendee cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to workshops@AAPACN.org. Registrants who are unable to attend may send a substitute in their place. Cancellations received more than 30 business days prior to the start date of the workshop will receive a full refund. Cancellations received 14-30 business days prior to the start date of the workshop will receive a full refund, minus a $250 processing fee paid to Training Partner. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received less than 13 business days prior to the start date of the workshop except for emergencies or a visit from State Surveyors. No refunds will be issued for cancelations due to weather if the workshop itself is not cancelled.

Speaker Bio

Nelia Adaci RNC, BSN, RAC-MT, RAC-MTA, DNS-MT, QCP-MT, CDONA, IPCO is the COO of The CHARTS Group and a Gerontological Nurse with over 30 years of diverse healthcare experience. She is a Master Teacher for all of the AAPACN training programs and recently joined AAPACN’s DNS Expert Advisory Panel. Her roles have spanned from Staff Nurse to Corporate VP of Clinical Services, providing her with extensive knowledge in regulatory compliance, clinical reimbursement, and quality care. Nelia is a sought-after speaker, having presented to numerous national healthcare associations. She has received prestigious accolades, including being named a VIP member of “Worldwide Who’s Who” and winning awards for her contributions to education and leadership in healthcare. Dedicated to advancing education and adapting to the evolving landscape of Post-Acute Care, Nelia focuses on promoting quality care and value-based purchasing.
