2020 IHCA Foundation Member Employee Scholarships
Scholarship criteria and information
Applicants for the IHCA Foundation Member Employee Scholarship must meet all of the criteria listed below in order to qualify.
• At the time of application and at the time scholarships are awarded, the applicant must work for an IHCA member nursing facility, assisted living program, residential care facility, home health agency, home care provider or independent senior living community.
• Applicants must be enrolled or accepted in an accredited school of nursing, long-term care or health care administration program, physical or occupational therapy program, AA/AS/ADM, BA/BS/BSN, MS/MA, or MHA/MSN program.
• Scholarships are for the 2020-21 academic year; therefore, applicants must be taking classes during the fall 2020 and/or spring 2021 semesters. This is a one-year scholarship that covers the cost of the course/program up to $1,500.
• Submit a complete application form, including 500-word essay, acceptance letter or transcript and one recommendation.
UPDATE: Complete applications with all requirements must be submitted by JUNE 5, 2020.
• The IHCA Foundation Board of Directors will judge qualified applications.
• Recipients will be notified of the results by July 6, 2020.
• Awarded scholarship funds are placed in the care of the recipient’s approved educational institution by approximately August 1, to be credited to the recipient’s tuition and/or fees in the 2020-2021 academic year. Any unused funds are to be returned to the IHCA Foundation.
