Monday Opening General Session featuring Clif Porter & Ralph Peterson
Clif Porter, AHCA/NCAL President and CEO will start the convention off with his vision on why long-term care is going to survive through the workforce crisis and other challenges. 

Our keynote presentation features Ralph Peterson, who will provide an entertaining look at the workforce environment we are facing today in the senior care industry. This lighthearted speech is designed to empower administrators, managers and professional staff with the knowledge, skills, and strategies needed to effectively navigate the workforce crisis and ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our aging population.

 Tuesday General Session featuring Sherene McHenry
With decades of experience as a motivational keynote speaker and a PhD in Counselor Education, Sherene McHenry is an entertaining, high content speaker that provides practical insights, and immediately implementable skills. Sherene’s keynote speech “Resilience Recharged: Navigating Your Healthcare Journey” is a powerful blend of stories, humor, and content that will enhance your well-being, relationships, and success.  

Wednesday Closing Session featuring Dan Meers the Kansas City Wolf
Dan Meers is a man whose energy, humor and excitement not only entertains but also encourages others to strive for the best of life. Dan has served as KC Wolf, the official mascot of the Kansas City Chiefs for over 30 years. His work and experiences as a professional sports mascot have reinforced in him the philosophy that laughter and a cheerful heart are good medicine.

Tuesday’s Music Bingo Party
It’s back again! Get ready to test your musical knowledge, have a blast with friends, and groove to the rhythm of your favorite tunes. Grab your co-workers and come for a lively evening filled with laughter, music, and the chance to win fantastic prizes. Whether you’re a pop aficionado, a rock enthusiast, or a country music lover, there’s something for everyone at Music Bingo.

IHCA Annual Trade Show
The IHCA Annual Trade Show will feature over 80 vendors, offering the latest innovative products and services in the industry. Attendees will have ample opportunities to meet with company representatives and view the latest technology demonstrations.  The trade show will be open on Monday from 11:45 a.m. with an exclusive time slot for administrators and owners at 3:45 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. A reception sponsored by Martin Brothers Distributing Co. will take place from 4:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Nurse Connect ‘Fill Your Cup’ Power Hour
Self-care takes time that most nurses can’t find in their demanding schedules. IHCA has taken the liberty to schedule some self-care time for you. While you are at convention, take advantage of this one-hour exclusive event to feed your nurse soul by relaxing with peers over complimentary refreshments and appetizers. Bring your nurse peers and join us!

General Session Slide Show
We’re creating something special, and we need your help! We’d love to feature the wonderful moments and smiles that light up your community. Whether it’s a heartwarming interaction between residents or a behind-the-scenes glimpse of your dedicated staff, your photos capture the essence of what makes your community so special. IHCA has secured a block of discounted rooms at the following hotels near the Marriott. 

The cut-off date for the discounted room rates was September 1, 2024.   However, there may still be rooms available at the following hotels.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations received in writing before 4:00 p.m. on September 16, 2024, will receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued after 4:00 p.m. on September 16, 2024 – NO EXCEPTIONS. A registration can be transferred to an alternate person after the cancellation expiration date.
