Invite your legislators to the IHCA Member Legislative Reception next Tuesday

The IHCA Member Legislative Reception, sponsored by Martin Bros. Distributing Co. Inc., is taking place during IHCA’s Spring Quarterly Education Conference at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Des Moines on March 22, at 5:15 to 7:00 p.m.

Your attendance is important

You have a very important role in our grassroots efforts to address critical issues – including workforce resources and support, staffing agency reform and a number of sector-specific initiatives – that impact your ability to provide care. This gathering is an essential opportunity to introduce (or reintroduce) yourself to your state House and Senate members and visit with them in a social atmosphere.

All members planning to attend are asked to invite their Iowa state legislators

To encourage your legislators’ attendance, please send them a personal invitation. Let them know that you will be there and hope to see them there too.

  • You can find your legislators and their contact information on the Iowa Legislature website. Use the Find Your Legislator search options to enter your home address information.
  • If your facility is in a different district, be sure to invite the legislators for the facility address too.
  • You only need to send the invitation to your state senator and representatives, not Congress.
  • The easiest and fastest way to contact your legislators is by email communication. You may also contact your legislators via fax or phone, if preferred.

Please send your invitation by Thursday, March 17, so your legislators will know they can plan to see you there.
