Activities Director

The Activities Director is responsible for planning and implementing a quality leisure/social events program designed to assist senior residents in maintaining their personal potential both physically and mentally. Position will oversee activity assistants.

72 hours per two week pay period and may require evenings and weekends as needed.

Stirlingshire of Coralville is a new community opening early 2021! The community will include memory care and assisted living. The Crossing of Coralville will be 53 Assisted Living units and 20 Memory Care units.

Responsibilities/Job Description
Develops program and activities reflective of resident interests
Assists in meeting the psychosocial needs of residents
Coordinates community volunteers
Manages and directs Activities Assistants
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Recreational Therapy or related Required; Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Three to five years previous experience preferred
Must be able to drive a 14 passenger van
