Accura HealthCare of Sioux City is a 48 bed skilled nursing facility certified to participate in both Medicare and Medicaid. Our Sioux City location offers a leadership team with many years of experience working collaboratively, as a team, to support and care for our residents. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The primary purpose of your job position as Administrator is to direct the day-to-day functions of the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care facilities to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Administrator, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Must follow all established policies and procedures to include, departmental policies/procedures, safety regulations, Human Resources policies, etc., to assure that quality resident care and an effective operation can be maintained.
Report to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrates dependability and punctuality; complies with attendance policy.
Report to work with clean, neat uniform and personal appearance and consistently presents professional image.
Accept assigned duties, instructions, or correction in a cooperative manner, voicing concerns or disagreements in a professional manner through established chain of authority according to established procedures.
Assume accountability for compliance with federal, state and other regulations within scope of control and of which informed.
Maintain confidentiality of resident, employee and other facility business information.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s Degree is necessary. A degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration, or a health related degree is preferred but not required.
Must have experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital or long-term care facility.
Must possess a current, unencumbered Nursing Home Administrator’s license active in the state of Iowa.
5 years of administrator experience is preferred. If less years, must have proven record of prior success serving as an administrator.
Attend and participate in educational programs to maintain the best and most current techniques available to this department’s service as directed.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
