CEO/Administrator

The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for providing leadership and direction to achieve the mission of St. Luke Homes and Services, Inc. Our mission statement states: “To enhance the life, health and faith of all who choose to live in the St. Luke Christian community”. The governing body appoints the CEO/ Administrator who is licensed by the State of Iowa, Responsible for overall management of the facilities; and directly reports to and is accountable to the governing body.
Responsibilities:
• Encourages that the mission statement of St. Luke Homes & Services is carried out on our campus and in the surrounding communities.
• Works in concert with the Board of Directors in establishing and carrying out the strategic plan for our community
• Provides leadership of the management team. To be an approachable leader to help the supervisors develop the leadership skills needed to lead their departments effectively and efficiently.
• Has community involvement to promote the campus as the care community and employer of choice.
• Monitors and gives direction on the fiscal health of the varied operations. Prepares a budget along with the controller and department heads. Keeping the Board of Directors apprised of financial position and concerns.
• Work with families to provide high quality customer satisfaction.
• Makes decisions and fills necessary contracted positions and services as needed, including Medical Director and Dietician Consultant.
• Participates and serves as an active member in the State Nursing Home Association.
Qualifications Required:
• Bachelors degree in Nursing Home Administration or an equivalent field.
• Strong leadership, human relations & communication skills required.
• Currently licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator, or able to achieve licensure.
• Proven history of strong financial leadership.
Qualifications Preferred:
• Five (5) or more years of long-term care administrator experience, or similar role in long term care.
• Experience with Assisted Living programs a plus
• Experience working with the Veterans Administration a plus
