Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)
1st shift: Full-time opportunity available
DUTIES: Use forecasts, food waste records, inventory, and equipment records to plan the purchase of food, supplies, and equipment. Assure that foods are prepared according to production schedules, menus, and standardized recipes. Work cooperatively with residents, facility staff, physicians, consultants, vendors and other service providers. Review, revise, and implement, in cooperation with the IDT, the resident’s nutrition assessment and plan of care. Assure safe receiving, storage, preparation, and service of food.
REQUIREMENTS: Prior related experience working with Federal and State regulations pertaining to dining services in nursing facilities preferred. Experience with supervising and managing dining services staff. Current awareness of legislation and regulations influencing the practice of standards of care. Serve Safe completion with Serve Safe Instructor certification required. Successful completion of Certified Dietary Manager Exam, or must be able to obtain within three to six months upon hire.
