Position requires flexibility and patience in working with a population affected by dementia.

DUTIES: Responsible for providing quality cosmetology services for Western Home Communities residents. Identifies the most efficient way to safely complete your scheduled work load and makes good use of available time-completing documentation in an accurate and timely manner. Interacts with residents/staff in a positive way and observes residents during interactions-reporting anything unusual to the nursing staff or administrator. Maintains supply inventory and notifies administration of supply needs. Maintains a clean, uncluttered and well organized work area that is safe and appealing to residents.

Successful functioning in this position contributes directly to the overall Western Home mission of providing the best possible care for residents.

REQUIREMENTS: Licensed cosmetologist in the state of Iowa. Manicure/pedicure experience preferred. Experience with an older population. Will require regular COVID-19 testing and working in PPE under Iowa Department of Public Health guidelines for salons. Supplies and equipment provided. Position requires flexibility and patience in working with a population affected by dementia.
