Day Cook

1st shift: Full-time or Part-time opportunity available

DUTIES: Actively participates with menu planning of meals to make food enjoyable for all residents, including those with therapeutic diets and special food requirements. Accurately reads and follows menu guidelines and recipes in strict adherence to guidelines while documenting any changes to recipe and ingredients. Communicates with wait staff and other cooks as to what the daily special is along with any other menu changes or specials that occurred that day. Follows all Dining Services policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures- follows HACCP standards.

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid Drivers License. Will comply with all federal and state regulatory requirements to maintain certification in food handling professional and other certifications as appropriate. Strong customer service background. Regular attendance is required and ability to work flexible schedule. Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
