Director of Nursing

1st shift: Full-time opportunity available (40 hours/week)

DUTIES: Directs all nursing care, treatments, procedures, and other services in order that each resident’s needs and choices, where practicable, are met in accordance with physician’s orders and current accepted standards. Utilizes substantial specialized judgment and skill in providing nursing care, observation, and counsel to residents and families. Accepts responsibility for the total nursing care of residents. Prepares, reviews and supervises the implementation and revision of care plans to maintain the highest possible degree of independence.

REQUIREMENTS: Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse in Iowa. Has approximately three years experience in geriatric nursing. Has approximately three years experience in supervision and administration of nursing services. BSN Preferred. Must be able to read, speak and write fluent English. Regular attendance is required. Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
