Full-Time Cook
Description
We are looking for an experienced line cook to prepare food to the chef’s specifications. The successful candidate will play a key role in catering and fine dining along with providing exceptional customer service to our residents.
Responsibilities:
* Must have ability to line cook, prep and have baking experience
* Knowledge of food safety procedures
* Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
* Prepare food for service (chopping vegetables, butchering meat or preparing sauces)
* Cook menu items in cooperation with kitchen staff
* Answer, report and follow the Culinary Director or Kitchen Manager’s instruction
* Clean up station and take care of leftover food
* Stock inventory appropriately
* Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
* Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
* Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
Requirements:
* Proven cooking experience (1-2 years)
* Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
* Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks with a sense of urgency
* Familiar with industry’s best practices
* Culinary school diploma/Serv Safe is a plus
