What you’ll do as an Infection Preventionist Nurse Manager:
*Oversight of the Infection Prevention and Control Program by continuously developing, maintaining, and monitoring a system for preventing, identifying, reporting, investigating, and controlling infections and communicable diseases throughout the facility.
*Conduct an annual review of its IPCP and update the program, as necessary.
*Evaluate, train, and educate staff in proper infection control measures and practices as needed
*Assist with creating goals and objectives for the nursing department.
*Promotes teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication.
*Interview, hire, schedule, and manage neighborhood nursing team members.
*Ensure direct team members have received adequate training and evaluate their performance.
*Other duties as assigned.

What’s required as an Infection Preventionist Nurse Manager:
*A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
*Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Iowa
*Current CPR certification
*Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required

*Day shift
*On call
*Evenings and weekends as needed
