Leisure Services Assistant

Full-time opportunity (32 hours/week) in Assisted Living (Thalman Square, Windhaven, SFAL)
1st shift with one evening a week until 7:00 pm
Includes every other weekend

DUTIES: Assists in the design and implementation of the department’s therapeutic program. Provide stimulating and beneficial programs for residents in Assisted Living. Promote the physical, mental and social well-being of all residents, maintaining dignity and independence and contributing to the therapeutic environment.

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a Leisure Services preferred. Completion of State approved 60-hour course within six months of employment. Valid Iowa driver’s license and chauffeurs license or agreement to obtain Chauffeur’s license within 6 months of hire. Promote and participate in the Vision and Values of the Western Home Strategic Plan, including People First, Innovation, Servant Spirit and Financial Integrity.
