Leisure Services Assistant

Western Home Communities is now hiring a Leisure Services Assistant to work in our Cedar Falls, IA location: Thalman Square.

Full-time opportunity at Thalman Square (32 hours/week)
Position hours may vary between days and evenings
1st shift 8:30am-4:00pm with occasional evenings until 7:00pm
Weekends as needed – Valid driver’s license required

DUTIES: Assists in the design and implementation of the department’s therapeutic program. Provide stimulating and beneficial programs for residents in Assisted Living. Promote the physical, mental and social well-being of all residents, maintaining dignity and independence and contributing to the therapeutic environment.

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a Leisure Services preferred. Completion of State approved 60-hour course within six months of employment. Valid Iowa driver’s license and chauffeurs license or agreement to obtain Chauffeur’s license within 6 months of hire.
