Line Cook

We are looking for an experienced line cook to prepare food to the chef’s specifications. The successful candidate will play a key role in catering and fine dining, along with providing exceptional customer service to our residents.

Responsibilities:

Must have ability to line cook, prep and have baking experience

Knowledge of food safety procedures
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Answer, report and follow the Culinary Director or Kitchen Managers/Chef
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
Requirements:

Proven cooking experience (1-2 years)
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks with a sense of urgency
Familiar with industry’s best practices
Culinary school diploma/Serv Safe is a plus
