MDS Coordinator

1st shift: Full-time opportunity available (40 hours/week) at the Deery Suites

DUTIES: Effectively communicates resident needs, progress and special problems of care on an ongoing basis with physicians and immediate supervisor. Provides for emotional and physical comfort and safety of residents, and emotional support to families. Nurtures open communication with residents, nursing personnel, physicians, clergy, dietary, families and all other persons who influence resident progress. Accurately documents medications and progress in resident charts during shift.

REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of a state board approved RN school. Currently licensed in Iowa. Previous experience with MDS preferred. Current in CPR certification or willing to achieve it. Must demonstrate effective communication skills with staff, residents, and family. Must be able to communicate information as well as ascertain the needs of residents and family. Must be able to do many different functions, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure. Must be able to read, speak and write fluent English.
