Regional Clinical Reimbursement Specialist – Northwest Iowa

Accura HealthCare has an opportunity to welcome a Regional Clinical Reimbursement Specialist (MDS leader) to our team. Our Northwest Iowa region currently supports eight of our facilities (Spirit Lake, Milford, Bancroft, Sioux City, Le Mars, Cherokee, Aurelia, and Pomeroy). As identified, the entirety of this region from the furthest points are roughly 2.5-3 hours. Therefore, depending on where you live, those more central located within the region would anticipate an average commute of 1-1.5 hours.

Our regional clinical leaders serve four days in the field. You would travel to and provide hands on, overarching MDS leadership support to clinical and operational leaders at the facility level. One day a week is allotted for administrative responsibilities. Thus one day a week you may serve in remote capacity, from your home office. Given the Regional Clinical Reimbursement Specialist is a field position, a vehicle is included as part of the compensation package.

The Clinical Reimbursement Specialist reports directly to the Senior Director of Clinical Reimbursement and will be responsible for providing consulting, services, support, and training to ensure our communities receive accurate reimbursement. This individual’s responsibilities will include our Restorative Program.

This individual will support and provide technical assistance to the Directors of Nursing and MDS Coordinators through audits, training, onsite visits, web sessions, etc. This individual will help develop and improve processes to ensure MDS accuracy and timeliness.

The role will complete audits of MDS data in Point Click Care and will work very closely supporting MDS Coordinators to assure compliance and a strong understanding of reimbursement regulations, documentation, policies, and processes as well as Quality Measures and Person Centered Care planning.

The individual will be a part of the Accura Resource Center and will work remotely supporting our facilities. The position will involve frequent travel with some overnights required.

Qualifications:
*Current Registered Nurse (RN) within applicable state, without restrictions, and/or ability to obtain state specific license.
*2+ years experience in long-term care with proven leadership and management skills.
*2+ years current experience in Clinical Reimbursement/MDS.
*Proficiency with Point Click Care (PCC) preferred.
