Registered Dietitian

Cottage Grove Place is looking for a Part Time Registered Dietitian. This position will work approximately 8 hours per week.

The Registered Dietitian will coordinate with the Dietary Manager in the operation of providing nutritious, well-prepared food for residents. This person will also develop diets as appropriate for residents according to their medical needs.

-Charts the following effectively: diet food allergies/intolerance, intake, weight, skin, hydration, likes/dislikes, relevant medications, relevant labs, chew/swallow.
-Completes effectively admit, 14 day, 30 day, and 60 day MDS nutrition notes.
-Understands and complies with essential dietary restrictions for resident needs as advised to physician’s orders.
-Supervises menu planning in coordination with the Dietary Manager.
-Develops resident care plans on behalf of the dietary department; attends care-planning conferences and interdisciplinary meetings as required.

Required Qualifications:
-Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or related field.
-Current Dietetics license in the state of Iowa.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Certification from the American Dietary Association.
-Minimum two years experience in the dietary field.
