Resident Assistant (home health aide, DSP, nursing assistant, pca, caregiver)- Coralville

Stirlingshire of Coralville, IA is our new senior care (Memory and Assisted Living) community that opened just in 2021.   As an Ebenezer managed property, we are dedicated to helping seniors live as independently as possible. 

We are looking for a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide whom would be responsible for providing personal cares and designated health related services to enhance and/or maintain the assisted living or memory care residents’ physical and emotional well-being. We can provide training to those with not related experience/education.

Positions available include:
40 hours in two weeks, Nights
40 hours in two weeks, Days

Resident Assistant duties include;
Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to: bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts.
Under direction of Nurse provides health related services as needed such as; passing medication, glucose monitoring, temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse.
Performs specified home services as needed such as; laundry, cleaning, meal service, and assisting with activities.
Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff
Other duties as assigned
Assists with onboarding of new staff

Qualifications Required:
Med Manager Certification by approved Iowa agency
Ability to communicate effectively, with empathy and compassion for residents and coworkers
Ability to work in a team setting and support others
Ability to work with a diverse and elderly population

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
Previous work experience or formal training/education as HHA, CNA, NA, DSP, PCA or similar preferred

We provide benefits to those in scheduled positions 60 hours or more in two weeks. Tuition reimbursement eligible when in a position that is 40 hours or more in two weeks.
