Resident Assistant/Medication Manager (Cedar Falls, IA)

Western Home is seeking a caring Resident Assistant/Medication Manager that will truly love what they do and love where they work. What you’ll do:

Provide care to residents under the supervision of the nurse and support of your team
Provide physical support for residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, – using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising.
Assists with organizing, cleaning, laundry, meals and other assigned tasks
Promptly answer residents calls for assistance and provide compassionate care that is in alignment with their specific care plan
Chart resident interactions throughout shift and communicate efficiently with the members of your team
(Upon receiving your Medication Manager certificate) Medication Duties including, but not limited to, the preparation and administration of medications, tests and medical treatments
Ensures that resident’s rights are adhered to
What you’ll need:
Must be 18 years of age to obtain Medication Manager
Must be willing to obtain Medication Manager (We will enroll you upon hire, if you haven’t already taken the course)
(Not required) Current active license to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Iowa.
Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.
Strong commitment to serving others
Effective communication, both verbal and written
Prior direct care experience preferred, but not required.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as required
