Weekend Package LPN/RN

Western Home is seeking a caring Weekend Package LPN/RN in our Grundy Center location (Creekside Living), that will truly love what they do and love where they work. Your day-to-day will include (but are not limited to) building relationships with those you serve and work alongside, supervising the resident care received, and accurately communicating, documenting, and administering needed medications/treatments/etc. based on physician orders. In this role, you are sure to gain valuable professional skills and experience that will last a lifetime!

What you’ll do:

Effectively communicates resident needs with physicians and immediate supervisor
Maintains awareness of the condition of all residents under their care
Accurately administers all medications, treatments, and physician orders taking ultimate responsibility for resident care
Supervises, assists, consults with, and teaches certified nursing assistants

What you’ll need:

Graduate of a state board-approved LPN/RN school and currently licensed in Iowa
(LPN) Successful completion of state mandatory supervisory course within six months of employment
Current in CPR certification or willing to achieve it
Able and willing to work at a minimum, a total of twenty-four (24) hours each weekend. “Weekend” means the hours between 6:00 am on Friday and 6:30 am on Monday.
Understanding that the weekend shift scheduling includes the ability and flexibility to work all shifts, as you will be scheduled on an as-needed basis each weekend
Experience/ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.
