How did you become interested in the long-term care profession?
I was referred by a friend to try something new and to join a long-term care team.

What do you like most about working in long-term care?
I have enjoyed getting to know our residents and their families and always do my best to make them smile each day.

What would you tell others to encourage them to consider a career in long-term care?
Working in long-term care is very rewarding; especially when the family members thank you personally. You know you’ve made a difference in someone’s life.

What lessons have you learned working in long-term care that also help outside of work?
I have learned to have more patience and to be more considerate of others.

When you’re not at work, what do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy spending time with my family and camping in the summer.

What is your favorite quote and why?
