Join IHCA for its Infection Prevention and Control Series, a two-day virtual education designed to support infection preventionists at all experience levels in long-term care. Taking place Feb. 17–18, this program blends foundational infection prevention principles with practical, real-world application to help participants strengthen programs, maintain compliance and protect residents while supporting quality of life.
The series is structured to allow flexibility, with the ability to register for Day One, Day Two or both days at a discounted rate. Day One will focus on building or refreshing infection prevention program foundations, including core role expectations and a guided annual risk assessment activity. Day Two will reinforce those concepts through applied strategies, emphasizing implementation across daily workflows, environmental and operational risk points and prevention of common infections in long-term care settings.
Led by Missy Travis, MSN, RN, CIC, FAPIC, this interactive program emphasizes actionable tools and strategies participants can immediately bring back to their facilities. The series is approved for a total of 8.0 contact hours for nurses, nursing facility administrators, department heads and environmental services professionals.
