Future NAB practice standards survey responses due this Friday

The National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) is seeking input from nursing home administrators and senior living leaders as part of its 2025-26 Professional Practice Analysis (PPA) survey. This national survey plays a critical role in identifying the knowledge, skills and abilities required for entry into senior living and health services leadership and will directly inform updates to the 2026 NAB Domains of Practice.

NAB is asking currently practicing nursing home administrators, assisted living/resident care executives and home- and community-based services (HCBS) leaders to complete the survey. The PPA gathers feedback on the importance and relevance of tasks performed in today’s leadership roles, ensuring licensure standards and competency expectations accurately reflect current practice. The survey takes approximately 45 minutes to complete, responses are anonymous and results are reported only in aggregate. Click here to complete the survey.

Participation also comes with benefits. Leaders who enter their NAB ID number will earn 0.75 continuing education credits as a thank-you for their time and may be entered into a drawing for prizes, including Apple AirPods, Beats headphones, a GoPro camera, JBL Bluetooth speaker and more.

Surveys must be completed no later than this Friday, Feb. 6, 2026. A downloadable flyer with full details is available here and encouraged to be shared with licensed and credentialed leaders within your organization.

For questions or assistance locating a NAB ID number, contact NAB at [email protected] or 202-712-9040. Your participation helps strengthen the future of senior living and long-term care leadership.
