The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI) team hosts monthly open office hours. The office hours provide an open forum where attendees can ask questions regarding infection prevention and control.
This forum is for the staff and representatives of long-term care facilities to ask questions related to infection prevention and control practices in their facility and is not limited to any one particular disease or condition.
Open office hours are held on the first Tuesday of every month at noon CST. Each session lasts 30 minutes. If the first Tuesday of the month is a holiday, the office hours will occur on the next Tuesday.
The office hours begin with brief updates at the top of the hour, no longer than five to 15 minutes, with remaining time for questions. Attendees can join anytime during the 30-minute session to ask questions and are not required to stay the entire session.
