IHCA’s April LPN-IV Certification Course will begin online on Wednesday, April 1. Please note in-person lab days will take place in Cedar Rapids on April 14 and April 30.
This course is designed to prepare licensed practical nurses (LPNs) to perform procedures related to the expanded scope of IV therapy in a licensed hospital or licensed skilled nursing facility (SNF) as identified in 655 IAC 6.5(3).
The 30-hour online portion of the course is available on-demand and contains nine online modules and quizzes. A 12-hour simulation lab will be completed in-person at the Guardian/Right Dose Pharmacy Offices in Cedar Rapids on two separate days with an online test taken on-site the last day.
