Success in 2025: The “Must Knows and “Must Dos” from the HH Final Rule – Annette Lee, Provider Insights, Inc.
With 2025 fast approaching, this session will break down the Home Health Final Rule and equip participants with the essential “must knows” and “must dos” for achieving success in the new year. This session will cover payment changes, future changes to submission and data in the OASIS, as well as the new COP regarding Acceptance of Patients. This presentation will also include an example of a policy to meet this new COP.

VA Community Care Updates – Robert Brown, Department of Veterans Affairs
This informative session led by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will provide participants with the latest updates regarding the VA Community Care network and will discuss how these changes impact home health providers.

EVV and CareBridge FAQs – Representatives from MCOs and CareBridge
Representatives from Iowa Medicaid, Iowa Total Care, Molina, Wellpoint, and CareBridge will answer frequently asked questions regarding the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirement that rolled out in January 2024. Participants who are registered at least one week in advance will be given the opportunity to submit questions to be discussed during this session.

Speaker Bios

Annette Lee, RN, MS is a seasoned home health expert with over 30 years of experience, including a decade of direct collaboration with the CMS MAC. Founder of Provider Insights, Annette leverages her deep understanding of Medicare regulations, OASIS, and survey processes to empower home health and hospice providers. Her extensive background, allows her to translate complex rules into actionable insights, ensuring agencies remain compliant and focused on patient care. With Annette’s guidance, providers can navigate the ever-changing regulatory landscape with confidence.

Robert Brown, RN, BBA is an experienced healthcare professional with a diverse background in nursing and management. He began his nursing career in 2006 as a Charge Nurse in Long-Term Care (LTC), where he developed a strong foundation in clinical care. After five years, Robert transitioned into management, serving as Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in LTC, followed by Director of Nursing (DON) for Assisted Living. Prior to joining the VA in 2023 as Clinical Manager of Home and Community-Based Services, he was a Regional Director for an assisted living facility, where he oversaw multiple locations.
