Program Description
Medicare can feel like a maze — even for experienced home health professionals. For those new to home health, the rules, requirements and acronyms can be even more overwhelming. This practical, two-part bootcamp will break down the complexities of Medicare from the clinician’s perspective, helping participants build a clear understanding of the rules while learning how to apply them confidently in everyday practice.
Part One focuses on the clinical aspects of payment, including the Medicare home health benefit and requirements, the patient journey from intake to discharge, the Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM), key Outcome Assessment and Information Set (OASIS) items and star ratings, and how clinicians impact Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (HHVBP). Part Two addresses the clinical aspects of survey and quality, covering the survey process, patient rights and Medicare notices, survey preparation, emergency preparedness and infection control, and demonstrating excellence through the Home Health Quality Reporting Program (HHQRP) and Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI).
Whether you are brand new to home health or an experienced clinical leader looking for a refresher, attendees will leave with practical tools, resources and CMS guidance to help separate fact from common misconceptions and confidently navigate Medicare requirements.

She’s had decades of experience at CMS and provided many years of consultancy services, including contracting with the Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) to provide clinical education for home health and hospice agencies across the nation. She speaks Medicare-ese fluently and knows how to make the most complicated rules make sense for patient-centered providers who don’t have the time to dissect every rule. Agencies that work with Provider Insights can rest assured they’re fully compliant with the regulations that are in place today and with the regulations that change tomorrow.
