Webinar Description
October 1st, 2023 brought about some wound-care regulatory changes. What are the changes, and how do they impact the coding of Section M of the MDS? What ICD-10 codes are appropriate? How should the new changes be implemented, coded, and captured? This webinar will cover the changes specific to wound care, designed to keep you updated on the most recent changes and best practice principles. There will also be a review of current literature on end-of-life wounds and how end-of-life wounds should be documented and noted.

Speaker Bio
Martha Kelso, RN, HBOT, is the Chief Executive Officer of Wound Care Plus, LLC, the largest mobile wound care provider in the Midwest. Martha’s decades of experience providing advanced wound care, while being a visionary and entrepreneur in the field of mobile medicine, has allowed her to pursue a relentless passion for educating others by offering training and lecturing nationwide. Clinical research is important to her, and she has served as principal investigator on several clinical research studies/trials. Additionally, Kelso serves as an expert witness for wound litigation cases and serves as a clinical editor for two national publications.
