Human Resources Specialist (Cedar Falls, IA)

We’re looking for an eager Human Resources Specialist to join our Cedar Falls campus team of HR professionals. An ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn and grow. You will have the opportunity to expand your HR skills and knowledge in this role, including creating and maintaining employee personnel records, onboarding new employees, and performing status changes within the HRIS system.

What You’ll Do
Create and perform employee status changes and communicate with the appropriate individuals, including payroll
Enter and maintain employee records in HRIS database including scanning files and ensuring accuracy
Human Resources Ticketing Queue Associate
Administrative duties to complete employee requests, including badge making.
Assists in record keeping of worker compensation program, as needed
Assists in administering the various insurance and retirement plans, coordinating necessary enrollment applications and other required paperwork, and communicating to employees
Assists with employee development sessions, as needed

What You’ll Need
Organizational skills, communication, detail-oriented, and self-motivation are highly regarded skills for this position.
4-years post-high school education in Business, HR, or Management, preferred; or high school diploma with at least five year’s related experience
Proficient personal computer skills, including Word and Excel
Proficient communication skills both verbal and written
Prior healthcare experience preferred
Must be able to read, speak and write fluent English
