Maintenance Technician II (Cedar Falls, IA)

Western Home Communities is seeking to add an experienced Maintenance Technician II to join our team. This individual will be responsible for completing maintenance work including (but not limited to); electrical, HVAC, plumbing, grounds keeping, and other related tasks. You will have the unique experience of interacting with residents including assembling, delivering and installing furnishing and equipment within their living spaces. You will work autonomously within this role gaining valuable experience, as well as with a dedicated and supportive team.

What You’ll Do
Quickly and accurately identify ways to complete each service request, and recommend/implement the most efficient solution to address the issue.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within your team, and assist with the implementation of process improvement initiatives.
Responsible for the care and upkeep of equipment and supplies.
Interact with residents in a friendly and positive demeanor.
Completes maintenance work on the facility, including performing electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other related tasks.
Maintains building safety systems, ensuring compliance with all assisted living, local, city, state and federal guidelines.
Assembles, delivers and installs furnishings and equipment for resident care.
Assists with grounds work, including lawns, landscaping, snow removal, recycling, debris removal and other tasks.
What You’ll Need
High School Diploma; technical degree in a related field preferred.
Relevant experience with assisted living, multi-family or commercial property.
(nice to have) Experience with minor plumbing repairs, carpentry, painting and HVAC
Valid Iowa driver license
Must be able to read, speak and write fluent English.
