Program Director – CNA Instructor

Our sister company the American Institute of Caring is looking for a RN who is passionate about helping others grow and develop. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and direct a health-focused educational academy. This position will be responsible for initiation and execution of a developed CNA program.
The Program Director – CNA Instructor functions as an interdependent and objective leader who evaluates, reviews, oversees and implements all the CNA program, development tools and curriculum development activities bridging the gap between training needs and available programs for local employer groups, communities, other health care agencies, organizations and Government entities.

As the Program Director for AIC, you will:

Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the CNA Program
Directly market educational offerings to the public, employer groups and organizations – helping employers meet their recruitment, staffing and training needs
Present health education and promotion programs such as training workshops, conferences, or community presentations
Serve as a champion regarding leadership, collaboration, team functioning, service excellence and interpersonal skills while maintaining a fiscally economical and efficient business operation

What you bring to the table:

Valid Iowa Nursing License (RN)
2 Years of nursing experience
1 Year long-term care facility nursing experience
Completion of a course on teaching adults OR experience teaching adults OR experience supervising nurse aides
Knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations as it relates to the operations of an education training program
Knowledge of human resources laws and regulations
Knowledge of administrative and clinical operations as it relates to a training program
Ability to effectively listen and communicate with clients/consumers, colleagues, and Leadership Team
Ability to maintain and manage confidential information
Ability to work with a variety of clients/consumers with unique needs
Ability to provide punctual and dependable services to clients/consumers
Ability to obtain a valid driver’s license and maintain proper auto insurance
Ability to independently research, create, and present information in an engaging manner
