RN – Transport

Job description:
The Transportation RN is responsible for the transporting and caring of the residents to appointments and on outings. The Transportation RN will also act as an RN in providing care to residents. Primarily will be a M- F position and hours will vary depending on the appointments. The Transport RN will also act a floor nurse when there no transport and may be mandated to pick up shifts as needed.
General Responsibilities:
• Performs all tasks and duties in an efficient and safe manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or as necessary. Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.
• Represents the facility in a manner that conveys professionalism, confidentiality, courtesy, fairness, personal integrity and respect for others.
Skills:
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to evaluate and interpret information.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under stress.
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be patient, courteous and tactful.
Requirements:
• Must have an active Iowa RN.
• Active Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Must obtain an Iowa Class D: Chauffeur-endorsement 3 (provided by facility)
