2024 MolinaCares High School Scholarship

This $2,000 scholarship, made possible by the MolinaCares Charitable Foundation, is for Iowa high school seniors who are in their senior year during the 2023-2024 academic year and interested in pursuing a career in long-term care. This scholarship covers tuition fees to pursue a certified nursing assistant (CNA), licensed practical nurse (LPN), registered nurse (RN), associate of science in nursing (ASN) or bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) program for the 2024-2025 academic year. This scholarship is intended for those interested in a future career in long-term care. Nine scholarships will be offered to provide toward tuition for a CNA, LPN, RN, ASN or BSN program. A total of nine scholarships are available. Applications for this scholarship program are open March 31 through May 31, 2024.

Scholarship criteria and information
Applicants for the MolinaCares High School Scholarship must meet all the criteria listed below to qualify:

  • Applicant must be a high school senior, who is in their senior year during the 2023-2024 academic year, and a resident of Iowa.
  • Applicants must be enrolled or accepted in a college with an accredited CNA, LPN, RN, ASN or BSN program in Iowa, with the intent of working toward pre-requisites or required courses for that program in the 2023-2024 academic year.
  • Scholarships are for the 2024-2025 academic year; therefore, applicants must be taking classes during these semesters.
  • Submit a complete application form by May 31, 2024.

Scholarship award process 

  • The IHCA Foundation Board of Directors will judge qualified applications.
  • Recipients will be notified of the results by the end of July.
  • Awarded scholarship funds are placed in the care of the recipient’s approved educational institution by the end of August to be credited to the recipient’s tuition and/or fees in the 2024-2025 academic year.
