2026 MolinaCares High School Scholarship
Scholarship applications are open.
Nine scholarships are available. Applications are due by May 31.
These $2,000 scholarships, made possible by the Molina Healthcare Charitable Foundation (MolinaCares), are for Iowa high school seniors who are in their senior year of high school during the 2025-2026 academic year and interested in pursuing a nursing career in long-term care.

Scholarship Criteria and Information
Applicants for this scholarship must meet all the criteria listed below to qualify:
Be an Iowa high school senior who is in their senior year during the 2025-2026 academic year, a resident of Iowa AND must be enrolled or accepted in a college with an accredited CNA, LPN, RN or BSN program.
Scholarships are for the 2026-2027 academic year; applicant must be taking classes with the intent of working toward prerequisites or required courses during these semesters.

Submit a complete application form, including an essay, college acceptance letter and letter of recommendation, by May 31, 2026.

2026 Scholarship Timeline
- April 15 | Applications Open
- May 31 | Applications Close
- July 31 | The IHCA Foundation Board of Directors will judge qualified applications. Applicants will be notified of the results by the end of July.
- Aug. 30 | Awarded scholarship funds are placed in the care of the recipients' approved educational institution by the end of August to be credited to the recipient’s tuition and/or fees in the 2026-2027 academic year.
