Iowa funding status:
Applications now open

A new federal initiative offers financial incentives to help recruit and retain nurses in qualifying Iowa nursing homes.

Through the CMS Nurses for Nursing Homes initiative, eligible registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs) can receive up to $50,000 in financial assistance in exchange for a three-year employment commitment.

IHCA will continue to update this page as additional Iowa-specific information becomes available. Program eligibility, funding and application requirements are determined by CMS and are subject to change.
